Excellent staff, excellent services, including a wide array of freshly made delicacies. En suite rooms, large bathrooms, lovely beds. Great location, next to Glenmuick Church. In the local area with restaurants and eateries next to the hotel.

Fresh and scrumptious breakfast with locally baked fresh bread, superfriendly staff. The best and prime setting and restaurants and bars close to the hotel.

Very comfy room with fine mountain views, generous towel supply. The thoughtful touches throughout made all the difference.

I was welcomed with homemade cake and warm smiles. The room was spacious, offering amazing views and a cozy ambiance. Breakfast was a treat, crafted with care and served promptly.

The hosts, Beth and Steve, provided a warm welcome and were always available with great local tips. The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything necessary, including USB ports and a lovely tea tray. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Ballater, with parking just outside. Breakfast was also really good, offering a vast selection that rivaled any high-end hotel.

The building's historic charm is wonderfully maintained. Spacious rooms showcase excellent amenities like whirlpool baths and USB ports.

The attic bathroom presents challenges for taller guests due to low ceilings, which could be inconvenient. Accessing accommodations involves navigating two flights of stairs, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Good stay with attentive hosts who obviously pride themselves on providing a nice experience. The freshly prepared breakfast was a standout, with locally sourced ingredients and served with perfect coffee. The spacious room offered fine views and comfort, but a bit more attention to minor details could enhance the overall experience. The surroundings were peaceful. Unfortunately, some common amenities were slightly lacking, which detracted from the otherwise perfect experience.

Would recommend for a trip

Comfortable room, tasty breakfast, well-situated location, with a large bed and a fine view over the Craigendarroch hill that enhanced our overall experience and made our morning good.

We also enjoyed relaxing in the cozy lounge area and taking advantage of the lovely garden space. The stairs were a bit of a climb, but it wasn't a big deal at all, so just prepare for it! 😊

Just a good pick for a momentary visit in Ballater with very nice value for money. The breakfast selection was vast, and everything tasted fantastic. Make sure to enjoy the lovely garden space during your stay.

The location was perfect for me, right across the old Victorian railway station in the center of the village.
